Still Going Strong – Updates, Advice, and Gratitude

A Note from Jay

First off, a huge thank you to all my customers — past and present — for your continued support and trust. I also owe a little apology for the delay in getting this newsletter out… but I suppose that just means I’ve been busy, which was always the plan!

🔧 Recent Projects

It’s been a full-on few months with a great mix of jobs, including:

• EICR landlord certificates in Canary Wharf for AP Electrical

• Installing extractor fans in bathrooms

• Fuse box upgrades and rewires in bedrooms and kitchens

• Garden lighting projects

• PAT testing for local businesses

• Adding power in garages

• Swapping light fittings and general electrical maintenance

The list goes on — and I’m really grateful for every bit of work that’s come my way.

⚡ Seasonal Advice

As we move into the darker months, now’s a good time to:

• Switch to LED lighting – it’s more energy-efficient and helps keep more money in your pocket.

• Check your consumer unit – if you know it’s a bit dated, it’s worth getting it tested or upgraded for safety and peace of mind before winter really kicks in.

  
  

🧰 Business Updates

I’m still riding solo for now, though I do get the occasional call from apprentices looking for experience. One day, I’d love to bring someone on board — I really believe in helping younger people get into the trades. The country needs more of them!

In the meantime, I’m investing in my own education. I’m booking onto extra courses to build my knowledge particularly in heating wiring, working alongside plumbers, and becoming the go-to electrician for that kind of work. Just waiting for a start date!

📅 Looking Ahead

The diary is currently booked about 2–3 weeks ahead — a big milestone for me. So I just want to finish by saying thank you again to everyone who has trusted me with their projects and asked me back for more.

I pride myself on being professional, punctual, and always leaving every job tidy and safe. Seems to be working so far!
